  • What exactly are hair extensions?

Hair extensions are simply the addition of hair either synthetic or 100 % real human hair strand by strand, weaving, seamless, clip on, bonding or braiding and more. Each one of these techniques has strengths and weaknesses see hair extension comparison for more info. Usually hair extensions are applied by a professional stylist because of the skill required to do it correctly. There are a couple types that can by done by oneself or with a friend.

  • Which hair extensions company is the best?

There are many fine hair extensions companies out there. There are also many styles of hair extensions and different qualities and price points. On of the goals of where to buy hair extensions .com is to give our readers as much information as possible for them to make the best decision for them. We have many reviews and testimonies from many different companies.

  • What exactly are remi cutile hairs?

Talk about luxury! The remi cuticle hair is the top level of A+ of hairs. Each hair is hand picked strand by strand in the correct direction to last longer and be tangle free. The end of top side of the hair is wefted in some fashion to help eliminate in the shedding.

It really depends on what type of hair extensions you get. For just all types of hair extensions besides clip on hair extensions and Seamless Hair Extensions you will need to have a professional stylist apply the hair extensions. Depending on the type of hair extensions and the a number of bundles you can expect at least 2 hours to apply them and close to the same to take out.

  • How can you apply weaving hair extensions?

The key to apply weaving hair extensions is creating a corn row or track around the head. It also needs to be as close to the scalp as possible and the hair extensions are sewn directly into the tracks. The real hair is then laid over the tracks for a natural look.

  • How does one apply bonding hair extensions?

The most common bonded method is that of Great lengths hair extensions which require many hours and thousands of dollars to apply and take out. Some companies have temporary glue in bond but we consider that to be glue in hair extensions.

  • How do I apply clip in hair extensions?

Clips have been sewn onto human extensions hair. You may clip these in and out yourself. Clips can be purchased from a number of sites and quite affordable.

  • How are tape on or seamless hair extensions applied?

With seamless hair extensions we have seen a huge difference in quality. There are some made with poor quality hair that last for a few days. There are others that are quite remarkable in that they last for months, cannot be seen or felt and can be applied by oneself or with a friend. The cost is very affordable and they cause no damage to your hair!

For your first time you need to answer a few questions. The first question is whether you want to pay the large fee to have a professional do it or use one of the very affordable do it yourself hair extension techniques like clip on hair extensions, seamless hair extensions or glue in hair extensions. After that you need to pick length of hair, number of bundles or strips, the color of course and the style of hair. Have fun you will love it and you can always take them out if you don’t.

  • How do I choose the best color for me?

When choosing a color to match your own hair, choose a color that matches your hair from the middle to the ends. Never buy hair the color of your out growth as that is always darker. The blending of your hair on the bottom part is most important. Many companies sell color rings so that you can match it to your hair.

  • How many hair extensions bundles or hair extensions packages from Simply Extensions do I need?

This is a tricky question. One of the easiest things to figure this out is to go to stylist and ask them how much they would recommend. Each person is different depending on how thick your hair is, how much hair you have, how much hair you want and the size of the head. For Simply Extensions we recommend 2 packages for most people and 3 for thick amazing long hair.

  • How much hair do I need for Seamless hair extensions?

Most Seamless extensions come in packages of 5 strips. We recommend one package if someone wants some coloring or highlights or simply wants to experiment a bit. For medium to thin hair we recommend two packages and for a full head of Hollywood hair go for three. With 15 strips you will be a goddess.

Clip on hair extensions come in straight and a slight wave and do not work with curly hair unless your hair is straightened.

  • I have very thin hair and want hair extensions, will they work for me?

The answer is yes, just make sure there is enough hair to be able to lie of the top of the clip on hair extensions. If the hair is that thin we do not recommend it. You can also backcomb your real hair and use some hair spray and that should really help hide the clip on hair extensions.

  • Can you do lowlights and highlights to clip in hair extensions?

Yes, this is also a great way to save your hair from the damage coloring can do. Choose 1 set of clip on hair extensions to match your base color and choose 1 set in a shade lighter for highlights or darker for low lights. Clip them in alternating the colors.
